Shade yourself away!

Let's set the scene ...

It's summertime. The lawn in exquisitely manicured, the bushes are trimmed, the pool is filled and the fountains are bubbling merrily along. All that time and care you put into your landscaping really shows, and it's time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Except ... except there's all that sun.

Not just a little sun, but a lot of sun - way more than a single umbrella can handle, with it spilling across the deck, the pool patio, the garden pathways. How does one shield oneself from all that from direct sunshine while also maintaining sunlight's inherent beauty as it interacts with the landscape? And without unsightly obstructions that break up the natural tone of your space?

Ah, now we're getting to the point of it all ... and the point is; Sail Shades.

Sail Shades originated in Australia over 20 years ago and since then have become synonymous with outback culture. As they made their way across the globe, their popularity as a stylish alternative to umbrellas and standard awnings grew, making Sail Shade World the leading manufacturer in the industry.

Created with commercial grade knitted shade cloth, Sail Shades also provide up to 98 percent protection from harmful UV rays. They are also constructed with 38mm (1 1/2") seat belt webbing sewn into the perimeter of the shade, making it one of the most durable shades available.

But that's just all the technical stuff. The bottom line is, Sail Shades look incredible. They can instantly transform any landscape into an exotic escape from life's troubles. A few strategically placed Sail Shades over a wading pool or fountain and your backyard becomes a stately concourse, or  - with the right plants and additional accents - evokes a tropical paradise carved out of nowhere just for you.

That's not to say that umbrellas don't have their place - because they most certainly do. Sometimes, it's just that lone corner of the deck that gets the sunshine all day long, or there is just that one bench and planter that you would love to sit and read at every afternoon if there were only a brief period of shade.

Home and Garden Culture of Kennett Square carries an assortment of Shade Sails and indoor/outdoor umbrellas and portable cast iron umbrella holders that never rust and are pretty dang hard to blow away in a storm.
